Strong Woman Do Bong Soon - a strong story

This drama was a huge success recently, a lot of people were commenting about it, so I watched it. At first I thought it would be just a silly and sweet drama, but I was surprised because the story wasn’t that bad.

The story goes around Do Bong Soon (Park Bo Young), a woman with super strength that hide her powers, but she fails because she is always helping others. One day Ahn Min Hyuk (Park Hyung Sik), the CEO of a game company hires her as his bodyguard, because somehow she reminds him of a mysterious girl that saved the bus he was inside. Do Bong Soon has a crush on In Gook Doo (Ji Soo), a childhood friend that is a policeman.

Several kidnappings of defenseless girls start occurring in Do Bong Soon’s neighborhood and Ahn Min Hyuk and In Gook Doo will try to catch the culprit before the culprit catches her.

Park Bo Young was great in this drama, she was so amall and cute that is impossible don’t like her. She was navigating between silly and serious all the time, making her a fantastic actress. I look forward more dramas with her.

Park Hyung Sik was as good as Park Bo Young, he was versatile and could express several emotions all the time. And of course he was very handsome… I do not recall other dramas with him, but I must keep one eye on him for more good material like this.

Ji Soo was really good at this drama and his place was as important as the main characters. He was part of a triangle love and even knowing they wouldn’t be together I was somehow cheering for him too. He is talented and good-looking, and in this drama he was a good cop.

What else could I say? This drama is labeled as sweet and silly, but it’s very good. One more time I am forced to admit that I would change the end of it, I would chose a more romantic and dramatic way to end it… But it was ok.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - a light drama

Another light and cute drama and this one is about sports too, however it’s not a very famous sport, the female main actress is a Weightlifting athlete! I really liked this particular drama because I could learn more about weightlifting, such as swimming and gymnastics.

The story goes around Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung), a college weightlifter and her childhood friend Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) a talented swimmer. The drama shows the love for the sport and the love between man and woman, and how these two kind of love can change people’s life.

The are some couples that don’t match but at the same time are perfect for each other, there is a jealous ex girlfriend, a silly best friend, a sick father and a missing mother that comes back. There are so many things going around them…

I have seen Lee Sung Kyung in another drama, but there she was mean, when I saw her as an innocent girl I couldn’t believe they were the same actress. Beside that their look was so different, in this drama she isn’t sexy at all, but she keeps cute. Something that impressed me were her lips, they were so full and beautiful that even Angelina Jolie would feel jealous.

Nam Joo Hyuk was more than perfect in his role as a swimmer, he is not just gorgeous but he totally fit for a college boy. There were moments he laughed and cried, switching from comedy to drama in a professional level. And of course, being a swimmer there were one or two scenes without shirt, so single girls, don’t faint!

I totally recommend this drama, it’s an adorable option to watch during the weekend with some popcorn! Just don’t forget to work out later, after all it’s a sporty drama, you must keep the look!

It’s ok, that’s Love – a drama that will make you crazy

Very recently I found out that I like dramas with psychological themes and that’s the case of this drama.

The story goes around Ji Hye Soo (Gong Hyo Jin), a doctor that chose be a psychiatry because she was afraid of perform surgeries and Jang Jae Yeol (Jo In Sung), a mystery writer and DJ that in a TV show attack Ji Hye Soo psychological convictions.

I can’t tell much about it but there are many issues in the past that turn out as serious mental issues and you will be anxious to know what was the reason for several actions. In the end you will realize that you are the only normal person in the world. Or maybe not…

Ji Hye Soo was great at this drama, she is very good when she has to play a traumatized or crazy person, I have seen her in another drama called The Master’s Sun (with So Ji Sub!!!! Loved it). She didn’t disappointed me, she is very talented but I was a bit shocked when I saw how skinny she was. I am not against slim girls, but she is much prettier when she is a little bit more… more… cute (not fat).

Jang Jae Yeol was great too, in one moment you fell in love with his character because he is cool and strong and in the next moment you fell in love even more when you find out how fragile and traumatized he is.

That’s a great option if you are not the kind of person that likes silly romantic dramas, it has a lot of deep issues and tragic stories. I loved it and you must be crazy to don’t like it too.

Who Are You – a scary mystery

This is a story full of mysteries, at first I didn’t give much credit to it, but to be honest I ended enjoying it a lot. You have real crime cases and supernatural powers, how can you resist it?

The story goes around Detective Yang Si Ohn (So Yi Hyun) that is involved in a criminal incident where her boyfriend lost his life and she was seriously injured and was in coma for a long time. When she wakes up she was sent to the Lost and Found Center where she has to work with an incredulous cop Cha Gun Woo (Ok Taecyeon).

They start working together solving murder cases related with the belongs in the lost and found center. Now Yang Si Ohn must use her supernatural ability to solve the cases while tries to convince Cha Gun Woo of her powers. But will they just solve the cases?

So Yi Hyun was great at this drama, she is very athetic and beautiful. I must say that is not easy be a detective with supernatural powers and a tragic past, but she did it. I do not remember her from other dramas, but I liked her.

That’s the second supernatural drama staring Ok Taecyeon that I have watched, he was great at Let’s Fight Ghost too. He was nice at it but there is something about him that I don’t like… he is great but I can’t love him as I normally do with other actors.

That’s my suggestion for you, if you haven’t watch it yet, please, give it a chance. It’s a surprising drama.

Love Cells – a short drama

This is one of my “Weekend Dramas”… When I don’t have much time to spend in a drama and I don’t wanna start a drama I won’t be able to watch, I just watch a short drama to fill this gap of time in my life.
I watched Love Cells, a drama with 15 episodes with 15 minutes each… very short but very cute.

The story goes around Dae Choong (Park Sun Ho), a boy that has a crush on a pop-star named Seo Rin, but he is totally hopeless, a lazy and not so hygienic person. One day a love cell comes out his body and goes to a cat nearby, it’s a cell of his body that is trying to survive.

The cell combined with the cat become a woman named Nebi (Kim Yoo Jung), she will try everything to help him to date the pop-star. Of course it wasn’t to be an easy task, or a reasonable one.

It’s a light drama, with nothing deep or tragic going on, it’s just something you should what to relax or something.

Park Sun Ho is handsome and cute, and during the short time I saw him in this drama he seemed ok. I would like to see more of his work…

Kim Yoo Jung played an air-headed girl, very funny but her role wasn’t very difficult either, so I can’t tell how talented she is. I have to look for more dramas with her to have a more concrete opinion.

I hope you enjoy this drama, it’s something you can watch while waiting for your dentist…
