I must confess that I started
watching this drama because I like the actress … and once again she didn’t disappointed
me, she was incredible in this drama and I meet another great actor.
The story goes around Kim Tan, a rich boy
from a powerful family and Cha Eun Sang, the daughter of the housekeeper, a common and boring
story? No way! Their path crossed far away from Korea, in the USA and their
story keeps going in Korea. This drama shows the differences
based in how much money do you have and your family connections in a realistic
way that makes you think how crazy rich people are and how troubled their lives
can be too.
Lee Min Ho is awesome as the principal
actor, with many family issues and dramatic scenes, and let’s be honest, he is
so cute that it’s almost a crime. He is so young and so talented, I will keep
an eye on him for future dramas, I hope he is going to do a great job as well.
Park Shin Hye is fantastic as a poor
and proud girl, she can make you cry and laugh so easily. I have seen her in
different dramas as Pinocchio and she is awesome in all them! I am a big fan of
her work… and she is really beautiful too (I envy her… actually me and 90% of
Korean girls ^^).
So… Looking for something more
dramatic and serious, that will make you think and feel… Here is your drama!
Have fun and tell me what was your impression on it!
I’m a girl and I must
confess that there are just few action dramas and movies that caught my
interest, K2 is officially in this list. It is a political drama with a lot of
punches and kicks, blood and bullets, and finally a cute love story.
The story is really
complex, but just to make it simple to you there is a hot ex-agent of the
secret service Kim Je Ha (Ji Chang Wook) that by accident meets Go An Na (Im
Yoon Ah), he didn’t help her at the time and many years later her paths cross
again when he tries to kill Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yoon Ah), the wife of the candidate
to Presidente of Korea. He starts working with Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yoon Ah)
because he is looking for revenge and the things get more and more complicated
and romantic too…
It is interesting how
politics are portrayed in this drama, they do not try to smooth this or make it
more cute to the audience, they show how some politicians are rotten and
corrupt. And of course there are a lot of fight scenes and shirtless parts that
make it even better.
Another interesting fact
is that Kim Je Ha is made of indestructible steal, because nothing can stop
him! Bullets, knifes, puches or bombs are not enough, but to be honest, with a
handsome face like his, nothing can get to him. He is like 007, but a Korean
version (a better version in some people’s opinion).
The first time I saw Ji
Chang Wook was in another action drama called Healer, he was fantastic there
and it didn’t change in this particular drama, he is awesome! He can fight very
well or maybe the editions in the episodes are really good, the fact is that he
is really good in action scenes (and in shirtless scenes too). I’m not kidding,
in this drama there are some “stronge” scenes where you can see great abs (or
just close your eyes if you have a weak heart like me).
I have never seen Im Yoon
Ah in another drama, she was pretty good in this one, interpret a person with
many traumatic issues can be very hard, but she was more than perfect. I hope I
can see her in more dramas like that.
So, if you like the mix of
romance and drama, happiness and sadness, welcome to one of the best action
dramas I have ever seen (actually I just watched 2 or 3 action dramas, it’s not
that much). So, have fun with that.
Today’s topic is Koran beds... You
must have seen them in many dramas and if you are not from Korean, Japan or
China you probably do not have one bed like this. So let me talk about it as
someone that has never slept in a cute bed like these ones.
Let me organize my ideas and then
you can tell me if you agree with me or not (of course if you are a reasonable
person you are going to agree with me, I’m a girl, I’m always right). You may
be asking yourself why my opinion is so important?! Why should you take it in
consideration?! Well, I’m an expert about beds, I love sleeping and If I could
I would stay in bed all day, I have more good memories with my bed than you have
of your entire life (did it sound strange to you too?!).
Ok, now the pros:
1. THEY ARE CHEAP
A Korean friend of mine told me that
a Korean bed can costs $90, it is made of latex and it’s very common in Korea.
With $90 dollars here where I live (Brazil) I can’t buy the blankets to cover
it, imagine the whole bed!
2. THEY ARE SO TRADITIONAL
These kinds of beds are special
because they bring with them a cultural touch, your boring bedroom would look
so different just with the small addition of this traditional Korean bed. It
would be confortable and decorative at the same time.
3. THEY ARE EASY TO MOVE
If you need more space you can just
fold your bed and let it in the corner of your room, then unfold it and use it
to sleep. With an occidental bed you can’t do it, or you find for another room
or do what you have to do on it.
4. YOU WON’T FALL FROM IT
Just if you have fallen down from a
bed you will understand how it is terrible, but in a Korean bed it won’t be a
problem because they are so close to the ground that you won’t get hurt! Isn’t
that great?!
5. LIFE TIME
A bed like that has a long life
time, my friend told me that she won’t change it at least for five years…
Considering that it costs just $90 dollars, it is a very long time, right?!
6. NO MONSTERS UNDER YOUR BED
Children are always afraid of
monster under their beds, for obvious reasons it’s not possible with Korean
beds! So your kids will be safe and will sleep the entire night in peace!
Now the cons:
1. SURPRISE ATTACKS
It’s so close to the ground that all
the most horrible and disgusting insects could just crawl to you bed and get
into it with you… I swear my house is clean (most part of the time) and I don’t
have insects walking around there all the time, but just the fact that it could
happen… aiiiigo… it’s terrible!!!! Maybe I am a little bit crazy about it,
maybe it’s a trauma from my childhood, I’m not sure, I just know that it’s a
negative aspect of it.
Well, that’s the only negative
aspect of it I suppose, or am I forgetting something?! I don’t think so… It's a
shame that I can't buy one of those beds here, but internet is so fantastic
that I could probably find one of these incredible beds near me.
Now tell me, how is your
relationship with your bed?! Would you buy a Korean bed and abandon your
current bed?! Oh yeah, you would, right?!
Just 16 episodes with about an hour each
looked like a great option for my “weekend drama project” and once again I
wasn't wrong, actually I'm always so right that it doesn't surprise me anymore.
This drama is a romantic comedy, the way I like, but there are so many
traumatic situations and personal issues that made it be even better…
The story goes around Jeon Jin Ho, a handsome and talented architect that is trying to win a competition
for an amazing project, however to achieve his goal he has to rent a room in a
house built for a famous architect and live there with the architect's daughter,
Park Kae In. The daughter is unbelievable kind and
she trusts anyone, the result of it is a broken heart and a damaged auto
confidence after be betrayed by her boyfriend and her friend.
Park Kae In is so air headed that she believes he is gay and in exchange for the
permission to live there, he allows her to believe in that lie. But things will
get more and more complicated while they keep living there and their hearts
will change… Can they be together, even when everything and everyone conspires
against it?!
My first impression about Lee Min Ho was… oh
my gosh, he is tall, my second was… wow, he is handsome and after the last
episode I was impressed with his acting skills. Lee Min Ho played a young and
methodic architect that was looking for success and found love instead, I
almost died with him when he was struggling with his problems and laughed when
he did. Great job.
My first impression on Son Ye Jin wasn't
that positive, I was comparing her with different actresses from other dramas,
she wasn't very pretty (the traditional korean beauty), however during the drama
I understood that it was part of the character and to hide her natural beauty
was just part of her job. Son Ye Jin isn't just beautiful, but very
talented too, I was touched with her crying scenes and how she could be so cute
sometimes… great job too!!!
Aaaaaahhhhhhh… I must talk about a kiss
scene that I saw there!! It was sooooo cute that I thought I could die… in that
moment I thought: “now I understand the reason I was born, it was just to see
this kiss scene”. Watch this drama and I'm sure you will know about what I'm
saying.
Well, that's
it… a great option to watch alone but a better option to watch with someone
else. Have fun!!!
Today
is a very special day... no it’s not because of Unity Day in Russia, or the
Flag Day in Panama or even the Blessed Teresa Manganiello day…. Today is a
special day because it’s my favorite actor birthday… Happy birthday So Ji
Sub!!! (NOTE: I know that problably is 5th Nobember now in Korea, I would like to post it in the right date of his birthday but there was a conspiration here where I live and a blackout was the responsible for my delay, I'm really sorry)
생일축하해요So Ji Sub!!!
I
believe if you have read one of my posts before you will realize how much I
admire So Ji Sub, he is a talented actor and musician (he is handsome,
intelligent and rich too ^^). Of course I don’t know the real So Ji Sub, his is
discrete when the topic is his personal life, but I can’t avoid falling in love
with his professional life (it’s a pure kind of love, the one from a fan to an
idol, not from a woman to a man).
So
Ji Sub doesn’t know me either (such a shame, he doesn’t know that he is missing
a wonderful friend), but I believe that it’s important receive the support of
his fans in moments like that, it’s an anonymous feeling of love and respect.
Normally
the actors have no idea how they impact someone’s live, like me for example, I
started studying Korean after watching the drama “Oh My Venus”, now I’m
studying Korean, I writing a blog about it and I have made several friends (my
Kakao Talk Korean friends… love you all!!!!). It’s impressive how a good work
as an actor can be so powerful to a fan. So, I hope So Ji Sub keep doing his
amazing work!!!
I
won’t enumerate here the reasons I have to admire him as a person and as a
professional, after all I wrote a post about it some weeks ago, but I wish all
his dreams come true and that in the future we can have more and more of his
wonderful work on dramas and music.
