Episode 2 - the importance of the clothes
Seo Jong Hyeon: Detective Jong Hyeon, what
can…
The
only sound coming out is someone crying and breathing deeply, he could almost
touch her fear, it was almost solid through the line.
Yoo Joo Hee: Help me… help… - her voice
was failing, her spirit was falling apart – It happened again. Help me.
In a
dark corner Yoo Joo Hee is sat down, she can’t breath or believe what she is
seeing, too much blood, she can’t stand that smell again, in her mind the smell
of blood reminds her death. The cell phone drops from her hands, in the screen
detective Jong Hyeon call. His voice a distant whisper asking where she is now.
Hell, it’s where she is.
Detective
Jong Hyeon take his jacket and start running in the police station, outside it’s
raining and while he goes down the stairs the drops of rain get attacked to his
hair. He gets into his car and disappear in the next corner. Detective Cha
Hyeok looks confused.
Kim Cha Hyeok: Where is the fire? He didn’t
take me with him… I’m his partner, I should go there too. – he tries to stand
up but he is stuck in the chair – Ok. I will stay here just this time, I have
important things to do here. – he opens another chocolate bar and starts eating
it.
The
tire brake is the only sound above the sound of rain touching the streets and
roofs around that housing, a building with three floors in his right looked
calm, but detective Jong Hyeon was sure that Joo Hee was there somewhere. The
crime record said second floor right?! He started going up the starts, looking
for apartment 207.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Please, don’t be dead… don’t
be dead. I have to close this case. 203… 204… 205… 206…
The
door of apartment 206 was opened, it wasn’t a good sign, detective Jong Hyeon
took out his gun and came in quickly, the first thing he saw was Joo Hee in the
opposite corner of the room, her face hidden into her arms. She was trying not
to see that horrendous scene, a old woman body behind the coffee table in the
center of the room.
On
the one hand detective Jong Hyeon was relieved, Joo Hee wasn’t dead, however
there was another body to add to the crime file. Was it related to Joo Hee’s
husband murder or it was just a huge coincidence?
Seo Jong Hyeon: Miss Yoo. – he put back
his gun, apparently she was alone there – Miss Yoo Joo Hee.
She
didn’t answer or moved at all, she was probably in shock, it’s not easy
witnessed two murders in less than 24 hours, but at least this time there is a
corpse, Joo Hee’s husband body wasn’t found, just an enormous amount of blood.
Detective Jong Hyeon placed his own body between the corpse and Joo Hee, she
wouldn’t see that again.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Miss Yoo Joo Hee, look at
me. – he touched at her arm and she lifted her head slowly, staring to the warm
big hand in her arm. – I’m here now, you don’t have to worry.
Yoo Joo Hee: You have to help Granny… I couldn’t
help her. – the tears dropped from her face and her pale face was full of fear –
I couldn’t help her… Please… - her voice was almost an inaudible whisper.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Let me take you out of
here first, then I will call someone to take care of her, ok?
Joo
Hee agreed and closed her eyes again. Detective Jong Hyeon saw many cases where
the victims were traumatized and fragile, but looking at Joo Hee right now was
almost unbearable, he wants to protect her. He lifted her in his arms, walked
her out of that room, Joo Hee grabed his jacket with her delicate shaking hands
and buried her face into his neck.
He
got in the corridor and closed the door behind him, so he dropped her in the
ground wondering if she could stand there without falling. The good news is
that she could stand up now, her legs weren’t shaking that much, otherwise she
didn’t let go his jacket, it’s like if she grabs his jacket everything wasn’t
so terrible. He couldn’t push her away, so he took his mobile phone from his
pocket and called his partner while Joo Hee was holding his jacket and placing
her head in his chest.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Detective Kim, I found
another body in Joo Hee’s address, send everybody here now.
That
was the first time Detective Jong Hyeon got in the back seat of a police car,
normally he is driving it. However, Joo Hee looked desolated with the idea of
being there alone and grabbed him inside with her, Jong Hyeon would be the joke
of the police stations for days, but right now it wasn’t important. They were
going to the police station to take her testimony about this incident.
The
police stating was crowded, but most part of the people here were journalists
looking for more details of this murder case, a dead body was always great news
to them. Detective Seo and Joo Hee walked into de police station, the first
thing she notice was a beautiful woman sat on the top of a desk, her legs were dangerously
exposed, nothing fleshly but definitely very sexy.
All
the cops around were in their desks or busy, nobody seemed notice the beautiful
woman sat in such inappropriate place. Well, except for detective Seo and
detective Kim.
Kim Cha Hyeok: She is here again.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Just ignore her. – answered
him with a rough ton.
Kim Cha Hyeok: She is not the kind of
woman you can ignore detective, and you know that. – he looked like if he was
having fun with the situation.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Wait here with the
witness, I will be right back.
Detective
Seo walks to the beautiful woman with a dangerous expression, he was very
handsome but sometimes he could be very scary too. Joo Hee just stayed there
looking him grabbing that woman’s arm with no delicacy at all and drag her out
of there.
Seo Jong Hyeon: How many times have I told
you to not come in the police station like it was your house, Miss Kim Tae Rin.
Kim Tae Rin: Why are you being so formal? Are you
that angry?
Seo Jong Hyeon: Can’t you say that just
looking at me? I’m working now, it’s an important case and I want you out of my
sign.
Kim Tae Rin: Well oppa Jong Hyeon, I’m working too.
If you could just give me some information I would go away happily.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Stay away from my police
station and especially out of my table. Last warning. – he turned his back and
left her there.
Kim Tae Rin: Does he know how sexy he is
when he is mad at me? – she smiled while looking at his back moving away from
her – I’m not giving up oppa, I’m just doing a strategic retreat, but I’m not
going to surrender.
Detective
Jong Hyeon took Joo Hee to the interrogatory room, she was there just few hours
ago and here she was again. Detective Kim came too and the three of them were
there in that claustrophobic room. She was a bit wet so Detective Seo took off
his jacket and placed it on her shoulders, it would keep her a bit warmer.
Kim Cha Hyeok: She needs a lawyer this
time, things are getting complicated. I am going to call lawyer Seo Jong Min.
Seo Jong Hyeon: No! – his voice was a bit
louder than he planned – I will call him. You stay here with the witness.
Kim Cha Hyeok: Ok Sir.
Detective
Seo rolled his eyes, he hates when detective Kim calls him Sir, he is much younger
than him to be called Sir. When he reaches the door he realizes that he is not
with his phone, he look into his pants pockets but it’s not there and then he
turns back and look at his jacket in Joo Hee.
She
immediatlly starts searching his phone in the jackets pocket until she finds
it, Joo Hee walk to detective Seo and hands his phone to him with a shy smile.
He takes it without look away from her, that’s the first time she smiles and
nothing could be more beautiful than it.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Thank you.
She
just smile brighter and it takes his breath away. She was beautiful in a way he
didn’t notice before, in a way he shouldn’t notice. He opens the door and leave
the room, feeling guilty to be paying attention in such inappropriate details,
she was the witness and he was the detective in charge for the case. That’s
all. He took the phone and pressed the bottom 1, a familiar voice answered his
call.
Seo Jong Min: Big brother! I hope you are
not calling me to scold me… I haven’t being doing nothing wrong recently.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Stop the nonsense. I have
a client for you, she is a witness of two crimes.
Seo Jong Min: Is she beautiful?
Seo Jong Hyeon: What is has to do with the
case?
Seo Jong Min: I prefer defend beautiful
woman, just this.
Detective
Seo closed his eyes and breathed deep, he was trying not to kill his brother by
the phone, they were so different, he was serious and his brother found himself
hilarious, he was responsible while his brother was a headache most part of his
life.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Bring your butt here right
now or I swear I’m going to kick it until you get her.
Seo Jong Min: Hmmmmmm… She must be very
pretty. – he laughed loudly – I’m on my way, I don’t want to miss the
opportunity to see her and of course, keep my precious butt safe. Bye bye big
brother…
Seo Jong Hyeon: Wait! I have a favor to
ask.
Seo Jong Min: A favor? What?
Seo Jong Hyeon: On your way here I need
you to bring some stuff.
Joo
Hee was feeling warm now, the detective’s jacket was responsible for that. She
could feel his perfume coming out the jacket, a familiar smell now that makes
she feels calm and hot. This thought made her blush, she could not be feeling comfortable
with another man smell, her husband was murdered not too long ago and his body
is still missing. She closed her eyes and scolded herself for such thoughts.
Detective Chan sat in the chair in front of her.
Kim Cha Hyeok: Would you like a bar of
chocolate? I’m sure you will feel better after few bites.
Yoo Joo Hee: Thanks detective Cha.
Kim Cha Hyeok: You don’t have to worry,
the lawyer Seo Jong Min is the best lawyer. I thing it’s a genetic thing.
Yoo Joo Hee: Genetic thing?
Kim Cha Hyeok: Ah, I forgot to tell you,
but your lawyer is Detective’s Seo little brother.
Yoo Joo Hee: Oh, I see. – if the genetic was right,
he would be very attractive too.
In
that moment the door opens, a young and more smiling version of detective Seo
comes in, the genetic was very generous indeed. Right before the lawyer was
detective Seo himself, just his presence in the room made the temperature rises
4 degrees.
Seo Jong Min: Here it is, my beautiful
client! – he smiled brightly and Joo Hee felt a bit better – I brought you a
present.
Yoo Joo Hee: A present? – she saw the
shooping bag in his hands.
Seo Jong Min: Of course! I couldn’t come
to see my favorite client without a present. – he smile was too perfect – Why don’t
you try it on?
Joo
Hee opened the bag and realized it was full with some pieces of clothes, and
then she looked at her for a second and it make total sense. She was dressing
the same blue dress from last night, there were bloodstains in some parts of it
and she could not look more miserable. New clothes would be perfect now.
Yoo Joo Hee: Thank you.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Lets go, let me show you a
place where you can take a shower and change your clothes.
Yoo Joo Hee: Thank you.
Joo
Hee stands up and follws detective Seo, detective Kim and Lawyer Jong Min
follow him too, even when detective gives then a dangerous look they just
ignore it and keep following. Now they are in the corridor outside the bathroom’s
door, waiting Joo Hee come out, they look more bodyguard of a celebrity than
cops.
Kim Cha Hyeok: I didn’t think you were so
considerate in bring her some clothes, you are always so head aired.
Seo Jong Min: Oh, It was my brother’s
idea. – he gave him an innocent smile, ignoring the fact the detective called
him head aired.
Kim Cha Hyeok: Wow… I didn’t know you were so considerate
too. – he tried now to laugh while teasing him.
Seo Jong Hyeon: Shut up.
Seo Jong Min: I just hope the clothes
will fit her. How did you know her size brother?
Kim Cha Hyeok: Oh, maybe because he had hold her in his arms
for so long that now he is familiar with her clothes size.
Seo Jong Min: Hold her in his arm? What
do you mean by that? – he had an elvish expression on his face.
Kim Cha Hyeok: When we get to the crime scene earlier he was
hugging her, she couldn’t leg him go for nothing, a very touching scene.
Seo Jong Hyeon: She was scared. I was
supporting a witness. That’s all. – he was impatient with that chat – Now shut
up or I will make sure you two won’t be able to speak for days.
Detective
Kim an Lawyer Seo looked to each other with naughty expressions, they were
having a lot of fun for sure and any of them would lose the opportunity to
tease detective Seo. Seo Jong Hyeon:
Kim Cha Hyeok: Well, I can’t blame you. She is very young
and beautiful.
Seo Jong Hyeon: It has nothing to do with
that. I am a detective and it’s my duty think in the witness’ well-being.
Joo
Hee opens the door, her long hair is clean and it falls like delicate waves all
over her shoulders. She is wearing skinny jeans and a blouse with pink and red
small roses all of it, she looks gorgeous, so young and beautiful and that
small embarrassed smile made here even more beautiful. The three men were speechless
for a moment.
Seo Jong Min: Well brother, what were you
saying about your duty?
