Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo - a light drama

Another light and cute drama and this one is about sports too, however it’s not a very famous sport, the female main actress is a Weightlifting athlete! I really liked this particular drama because I could learn more about weightlifting, such as swimming and gymnastics.

The story goes around Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung), a college weightlifter and her childhood friend Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) a talented swimmer. The drama shows the love for the sport and the love between man and woman, and how these two kind of love can change people’s life.

The are some couples that don’t match but at the same time are perfect for each other, there is a jealous ex girlfriend, a silly best friend, a sick father and a missing mother that comes back. There are so many things going around them…

I have seen Lee Sung Kyung in another drama, but there she was mean, when I saw her as an innocent girl I couldn’t believe they were the same actress. Beside that their look was so different, in this drama she isn’t sexy at all, but she keeps cute. Something that impressed me were her lips, they were so full and beautiful that even Angelina Jolie would feel jealous.

Nam Joo Hyuk was more than perfect in his role as a swimmer, he is not just gorgeous but he totally fit for a college boy. There were moments he laughed and cried, switching from comedy to drama in a professional level. And of course, being a swimmer there were one or two scenes without shirt, so single girls, don’t faint!

I totally recommend this drama, it’s an adorable option to watch during the weekend with some popcorn! Just don’t forget to work out later, after all it’s a sporty drama, you must keep the look!

Thumping Spike 2 - a competition for love

With 20 episode with 15 minutes each, this drama is a great option for your weekend drama. This short drama keeps with the same sporty idea of the first one, volleyball players, and the romance is cute too. I must say that I liked the first Thumping Spike more than the second, but it’s a personal matter. It’s a light drama with cute boys playing volleyball.

The story goes around the worse volleyball team of the university, the captain of the team Go Yi Ra, a naïve girl, Han Da Woon, that falls in love easily and a professional volleyball player, Dong Hae Sung, that is focusing just in study. It’s not a triangle love, it’s more like a square love, because there is a twin sister, Han Ah Reum, that kisses one of the boys.

Kim So Eun as Han Da Woon and Han Ah Reum plays the naïve girl and her twin, she is very cute and all, I liked her. One thing bothering me was her lips, too small! Just a personal opinion of course.

Lee Won Geun as Dong Hae Sung was the volleyball start, he was very cute and all, normally in Korean dramas the guy seems to bee mean and just them shows his cute part, in this drama he was kind from the beginning to the end. I liked his acting skills and I am looking forward for more dramas with him.

Sun Woong as Go Yi Ra was support actor and the third part of the square love, he was good but won’t be in my “favorite actors list”. He is very handsome and don’t disappointed me in acting skills, but there weren’t sparks between us. Kkkkkk

As I have told you before, it’s a great option for a quick drama in a boring day! It will cheer up your spirit. Have a great time with this cute drama!

To the Beautiful You (아름다운 그대에게)

My weekend project was this school drama called “To the beautiful you”, it has 16 episodes with one hour each.

The story goes around an Olympic golden medal boy, Kang Tae Joon (Choi Min Ho) that after some problems had decided to stop jumping and there is a Korean girls, Goo Jae Hee (Choi Seol Ri) that lives in the USA since she was 5 that watched his competition and was inspired by it to start running. So, Goo Jae Hee decided to move to Korea and study in his school disguised as a boy, because it's not permitted girls in this school.

Her dream is to watch Kang Tae Joon jumping again and she tries to help out… they share a room, but Kang Tae Joon isn't that easy to live with.

Actually they turned a creepy stalking story in a romantic one… if someone came from a country so far as the USA just to stay with me, I would be very scary and would call the police! But it worked well… another thing is that the antagonists  (the villains) here are not bad, you start hating them but turn out that at the end they change and you get to know their background… when you realize you forgave them and start loving them too. It's terrible,  I need someone to hate and scream with!!! LOL

Choi Min Ho was fantastic in this drama because he is an athlete indeed, I couldn’t count how many times he workout there, just to remember it make me feel tired! His body is awesome too, what helps to believe in the story.

Choi Seol Ri is fantastic too, she played a boy and it was very credible, she is pretty of course but her lips are just too big, Angelina Jolie would feel jealous about them… Maybe I’m a bit jealous too. She is young but I would like to watch more dramas with her.

It’s a cute drama, I would totally recommend it… especially with you like Olympic sports or just hot guy without shirts (there were many scenes with shirtless boys).
